I enjoyed this story and the ideas explored. For me, there is value in all media - text, audio and visuals. And it can be extremely valuable to add powerful visuals to clarify, emphasize and strengthen key points. I also think younger people that have been exposed to millions of images will gravitate toward more visual presentations. So definitely worth it to keep developing the skill.

On that front a more unified style of images and fewer words might better aid intake of the ideas explored. And may help clarify the genre/style in terms of drama, comedic drama, even horror, etc. Here some visuals are extremely dramatic while others are laugh-out-loud funny. That might compete with the more consistent tone of the narrative which is a well-intentioned drama bordering on courtroom drama. For me the more comedic ones feel the most off key here.

As far as the core idea and which characters' ideas are most relatable I took it that the ideal is to integrate the wisdom of all three - the "glorious selfishness," Eastern selflessness and the average person's humility in moving through daily life with as much dignity as possible, even when there is not much time for in-depth analysis of life's biggest questions.

Thanks for this note, Daniel. I’m definitely sold (biased in favor) on using visuals to help aid readers, especially when deep and dense philosophy is involved.

As usual and as with most things, creating appropriate visuals is a question of skill, and this being my first attempt, it flopped in many ways; I just hope it didn’t make the difficulty of understanding even worse.

Unity of style will come more naturally as I refine the craft and keep learning how to use all the levers available.

Writing is weird: black and white squiggles on the page intended to represent “the world” in all its dynamic multiple dimensions. We’re lucky to live in an age where readers can also be listeners and viewers or all three at the same time — a cornucopia of delights!

Thanks for your feedback — it’s deeply appreciated. May we all tap into a little of each of these three characters as we go through our days!
